Cat Clark’s newest single, “Vert”, is a trap inspired track that highlights feelings of striving towards success, while still dealing with the feelings of love and pain that exist in the streets. She taps upon action sports, drip, fashion, work and staying down with a tight nit group of people: all ideals the youth can relate to today. Working out of multiple studios in Los Angeles as a ghostwriter/solo artist/producer, she decided to land a solid single with producer RicFade of Bad Romantic Records. Expect more records from these two soon.
Cat Clark is a Los Angeles based singer, musician, rapper and ex-professional surfer. Her deep connection with the ocean previously lead to sponsorships, surf trips to exotic locations and even a National Title. Despite her success in surfing, a deeper pull to music always allured her. From the age of 8, she was playing guitar and piano, and by the time she turned 21, her move to Los Angeles ensued. She found herself immersed in studio sessions all over the city.
Her steadfastness in fully expressing her musical approach has kept her independent as an artist, though she has had sessions ghostwriting for some of the biggest artists and producers in Los Angeles. Along the way, her experiences in Los Angeles, along with an original love for trap and punk rock, has refined this singer/songwriter into the unique, gritty and sometimes very feminine flow she expresses through her melody and lyricism.
